Bass Life Associates, Inc.

Bass Life was formed in 1993 from the original Bass Research Foundation. More than $500,000 has been raised since becoming Bass Life Association, Inc.  with every penny staying in the ARK-LA-TEX.

For the last 29 years the Sportsman's Dinner has been a substantial fundraiser for the organization. It is now responsible for 100% of the funding.

Bass Life is responsible for the Trophy Replica Programs on Caddo, Cross Lake, Red River and Bistineau with more than 700 trophy bass over 8 lbs. being weighed, certified and released alive back into the lakes. Bass Life has also expanded the Cross Lake Fish Hatchery by more than 15 ponds and stocked more than 6,135,000 Florida Bass Fingerlings into area lakes to include Caddo, Bisteneau, Black Bayou Cypress, Red River, Claiborne, Black Bayou Hosston, Wallace and Cross Lake. Some of the other projects that have been undertaken are the extension of the Earl Williamson Park boat dock on Caddo Lake, Get Hooked on Fishing Programs for kids, clean up of several area lakes, and assisting Louisiana and Texas Wildlife & Fisheries Departments by supplying a GPS unit for every game warden in the ARK-LA-TEX. They also buy all forage fish and some supplies for the Cross Lake Hatchery (about $8,000 per year).

For the Texas Wildlife Department, Bass Life funded a tagging survey over a 3 year period and funded a channel marker renovation project for $10,000 on Caddo Lake.

In 1998, Bass Life was allowed to stock Lake Bistineau, the first time ever for this lake. Since then Bass Life has stocked the lake with about 750,000 Florida Bass Fingerlings and has hopes that Lake Bistineau will become the "Premier" bass fishing lake in Louisiana.

BassLife Banquet

Please join us for the annual BassLife Banquet. The banquet is the only fundraiser for the organization, and it is now responsible for 100% of the funding of Bass Life.
