In 1993 BassLife Associates, Inc. pledged that the goals, projects, efforts, and money raised would BE KEPT IN THE ARK-LA-TEX and spent primarily on preserving and developing our fisheries. 2003 Accomplishments $30,000 Dedicate to Sci-Port Discovery Center. Released a total of 6,135,000 Florida Bass fingerlings in area lakes sine 1991. $7,500 donated to build a pavilion at Earl G. Williamson Park for the Oil City Environmental Sciences Magnet School and dedicated to Edward P. Moseley, Jr. 2002 Accomplishments The BassLife Bass Limo Barge is completely restored and is being used on local lakes and the Red River releasing Florida Bass fingerlings and for releasing bass from tournaments. Donated $10,000 for repairs and completion of the pier at Earl Williamson Park damaged during high water. Donating $10,000 for the next three years to Sci Port for program for students to study aquatic life and wildlife on the Red River waterway. This program will operate from April to October each year. Donated $500 to the Northwest Autism Chapter for Camp Rainmaker at Lake Bistineau. View Gallery Sponsored 2002 "Get Hooked on Fishing" on Caddo Lake 2001 Accomplishments Wildlife & Aquatic Education Program Bass Life places sign at Cross Lake Fish Hatchery In June we presented the YMCA with a $10,000 check to be used to enlarge, clean up and make handicap accessible the lake at the YMCA Camp Forbing. It will be used by children and families through YMCA programs, the Wildlife and Aquatic Education program which will be expanded bringing school children, disadvantaged family groups, as well as children from other groups in the city. Bass Life completes 2001 Florida Bass Stocking Program. 2000 Accomplishments Provided $2,000 for P.O.I.N.T. $30,000 plus spent expanding Cross Lake Hatchery from 9 to 22 spawning ponds. 30,000 plus spent to provide over 530 Trophy Replicas to fishermen who have caught, certified and released bass alive over 8 lbs. at our 4 official weigh-in stations on Caddo and Cross Lakes. $18,000 to North Louisiana Wildlife & Aquatic Education Program in 2000 - 2001 which reaches 10,000 plus 5th graders in seven parishes through Northwest Louisiana. |
